baby snatched by eagle in park.....( Faked )

one reason to have a chubby child

Holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I think it's disgusting that the cameraman put the life of a young child before a decent youtube clip.

I put "eagle snatch baby/child" into google, wondering if this was common and the only hits appear to be this video. Quite lucky, really, that the kid was dropped from a low height!

repost from youtube of the day clip but fascinating footage nonetheless.

Where was this? ....... I'm guessing the land of the bald headed ones, and funny accents.

Wales?

Montreal, I think...

Montreal, according to Le Matin.

Are Quebecois bald?

According to 20 minutes this is a scam.

I wonder if an eagle would really be strong enough to carry a young child?

Yes, they can.

I cannot see how this could have been set up. According to Wiki, eagles can take prey over 30kg

This is at Beaver Lake on Mount Royal in Montréal, Québec, Canada.

The guy drops his camera when he realizes what has happened to the child.

I am surprised because I have never seen any eagles there, only hawks and falcons, and not many of those.

No idea who Opennewscast is.

I agree. There are those commercials like Federer smashing can of someones head with tennis ball, Beckham potting three balls in bins on beach, Brue Lee playing ping pong at breath taking speed with nun chucks, these......are AMAZING but make you think hmmmmm, and a little search shows fakes for commercials.

But this? This looks like home made footage, with no obvious advertising, with full imagery of bird in flight, making its swoop and grabbing child.

Pretty shocking, be surprised if fake and wonder for what advertising purpose if at all

I feel sorry for the goat

Seems there are two goat snatches. The second I would guess died from fall and be open for eating.

But the first one I imagine live through its snatching. Surely would of been able to put up enough of a struggle at the attempt of eating? Just curious.

They brought it on themselves.

What you don't see is just before the attack, the father is swinging the baby around his head. On a leather rope. And whistling.

"here birdy birdy"

"didnt want the damn kid anyway"

I note that they haven't offered any explanation for being convinced it is fake. They do say that if it is a fake, it is a very good one.

One point that convinced me it is real was the child kicking its legs as it was lifted.

phew I'm (barely) saved

Cool video rob1!

i know in mongolia they use eagles to catch wolves so easily take large prey, with the goat video the weight might be higher than the eagles, but the eagle is gliding down, it is not gaining height.

may suggest it can support the weight but not really fly with it.
