Are you keen on lobbing balls? You've been lobbing balls in the past and are feeling the itch again? You've never lobbed balls before but you feel the time has come for someone to get a taste of your balls?

This is a paintball coordination station where we attempt to get a group of (semi) regular paintball players together.

If you are located in the wider Zurich area and are up for laying down some paint in Luzern, Zurich or Schaenis regularly, post here. I'll update the OP with a roster of people up for regular lobbing.

Are you located in the loonies a reasonable, nice, level headed location but not near Zurich? Post here anyway. I'll add multiple rosters of people up for playing in different areas.

You've never played paintball before but want to try it? Post here too. I'll add you to yet another list of people who'll be notified of our next game and you can decide whether you want to come around or not.

Afaik you don't get banned, but won't it just make you slow and unnaturally amenable to debate about the existential and metaphysical aspects of paintball?

Alright, so me and a bunch of friends are going to the Paintball Arena field near Zurich (in the town Schaenis) this Thursday (6.11.2014). Start time is probably 6pm, maybe a bit earlier. There's straight connection via the S2 train line from Zurich. PM me (or post here) if you want to come.

Upcoming game is Sunday the 16.11.2014 from 7pm at the field in Schaenis. We have the whole field booked for us so there won't be annoying pubbies.

I would like to start a paintball team and thought I would give it a try on the english forum as for me I would prefer english speakers as I am one my self.

It would be a monthly event where we would go to paintball arena(s) around Switzerland and enjoy paintballing as a little more then a hobby, but none the less for fun. I am certainly not a professional, I have done it twice, and newbies as well and pros would be welcome to increase their paintball experience.

If there is anyone who is interested or would like to be in a paintball team write here and lets see if it picks up.

Everything is up for discussion, as this is a early phase idea.

I used to go paintballing all the time in California. Unfortunately I sold/left my guns back home. I would love to go back out and try it again. Let me know if anyone is up for going out for fun.

The game was pretty good, albeit I was getting some bolt stick in the coldish weather. I did manage to fix it with more liberal anti-stick settings.

The offer itself is OK I guess. I never played on the field near Bern. The one near Pfaeffikon/Freienbach is a speedball field. I'm happy to play speedball, but it's not to everyone's tastes.

Anyhoo, on the topic of games: I'll be organizing some more of course. I think in most cases we'll have to play with some pubbies, since we need 6 people at least for renting a field. This is usually somewhat of a pain to guarantee, but let's see how things go.

As for organizing a team, I'm definitely up for it and will be sending PMs with my contact details. Get in touch with me and we can start playing more regularly.

Alrighty, so who's up for a game on the 6th of Dec in Luzern? Probably in the afternoon.

Either the paintball-arena.ch or paintballfarm.ch fields. I'd try the latter if it's not fully booked out.

Apart from that, I'll organize a visit to the speedball field in Freienbach (paintball4you.ch), where we can get hooked up with the wider Swiss paintball scene. I don't have a date for this yet since I need to speak to the man there.

Don't know how I missed this the first go round.

I've been p-balling since the old Brass Eagle "Talon" plastic pump&dumps. Mine put a sick slice on the trajectory of my shots, depending on how the seam was oriented in the chamber. I could trick shot peop's behind trees if they weren't glued to the damn thing.

I too have left my gear back in the real world.

I'll track updates here, but I can't speak to any free time until Jan, or Feb, at which point I would strategically delay until April.

As for where, I'm 18 minutes out from the HB, so I will be available at some point.

Any indoor locations? oh, and the prices seem really reasonable at Schaenis, considering where we are.

First time I ever got hit was in the palm of my right hand. I slipped, and just managed to 'catch' the ball as I went to stop the fall. I was told it looked cool, .., they were told it still hurt like a mother.

The indoor field in Schaenis is actually quite awesome. The one in Luzern (PB Farm) is also awesome. The PB Arena field in Luzern is OK (not bad, but not spectacular). I haven't been to the Bernese/Basel fields yet.

Somehow it is usually bounces on my thighs that hurt like a b*tch. Clearly those are areas not meant to be touched by someone else's balls.

Ohhhh I REALLY want to try this, have fancied doing paintball since ages now but never managed to get a group going. Am well up for doing it after Christmas!

I played a lot in the UK a few years back when the craze hit the UK. A few of us went out about a dozen as I remember went to the place a Scheanis a few years ago, and it was a giggle, bloody roasting as it was indoors in summer, but good fun... even the ignominy of getting shot in the arse by LiB (who was on my team) has faded. I'd be up for playing again though.
