PostFinance in their bid to drive up prices and lower their quality have, I now note, removed the e-cockpit function .
As such I would like to know if anyone else has banking that offers such a capability?
E-cockpit was great as it did not require you to classify any of your transactions, instead it was based on 'merchant category', you could see where your money was going and easily figure out long term trends by checking period comparisons.
Na ja, it was good while it lasted, anyway, I would be grateful if you have any suggestions for similar products from other banks please!
p.s. you can request a dump of data (mine went back to 2017) but it will be in a very badly formatted CSV file when you get it. You need to do that BEFORE APRIL 30TH Good luck with 'text to columns'...
It was completely useless as classification by merchant told you SFA about your spending habits when it came consumer shopping. I will not miss it in the slightest.

Not only did Postfinance remove the e-cockpit you can no longer save payment templates so have to go find a previous payment in order to use that.
Completely sh!t & utter sh!t shall be moving my account in a few months time.
I think payment templates are still there BUT they've hidden it well. I will have a butcher's next time I'm doing some admin stuff.
I have used many e-banking pages in Switzerland (UBS, BCV, BCVs, Post, etc.); I can say that none of them look very user friendly in general. I think UBS has the best functionality, but then they charge you high amounts in account fees (25-30 CHF per month). If you don't want to pay account fees, then they charge you 5 CHF per transaction. BCV and BCVs also have good/acceptable functionality with cheaper fees.
In my opinion, what you pay for your account fees is more important than e-banking page's design/functionality; in the end we somehow find our way.

here and seems you can get a reduction in fees if you have 10K in the bank.
Currently I pay approx. Fr. 30 for Postfinance and what I consider a service that I am no longer happy with. Might as well change and even if the fees are no lower at least I get the functionality I like.
I pay 10 CHF per month with UBS and that includes the cards etc.

So I finally got around to logging into PF and this is not true, the payment templates are still there, they have been reorganized in a more logical way. I had no problem locating the old template I needed.
Me too. But I would not say I’m happy, more indifferent. It does what I need to do and that is that.
Revolut offer "analytics", which show spending over a given period broken down by merchant category, currency, etc.
I don't use Revolut much, so I can't comment on how useful this is, and a quick look at the web site didn't reveal anything by way of screenshots, etc.
