No, but Oberägeri has obtained a dispensation, so maybe they are hoping for some Basel tourists.
Seems like 12 out of the 26 cantons have bans in place. Including ours.
I never liked the ones in Basel anyway. There’s no performance to them. Edinburgh at the end of the festival and at New Year is spectacular, especially the waterfall of light that comes down from the castle.
Last time we went to Swiss National Day in Basel a friend’s wife was touched up by a man on the Kleinbasel side of the Rheinweg. I hated the sight of men peeing in the pissoirs they erected along there as well.
