Hello, I will move to basel land canton next month with my wife, who will start working in October.

I will join her throught family reunification, and when reading the requirements we see that we should prove sufficient financial means for the two of us. I cannot find the actual guidelines stating exactly how much money we should be able to have in order to met that requirement.

My wife will have a gross income of about 4000 CHF per month, do you think this is sufficient?

We do have substantial savings in our foreign bank account. Can this be used as proof of financial means? And if so, do any of you know which documents should I use to prove that?

There is no precise amount. Because they know everybody's situation is different. The bottom-line is usually that as long as you're not on welfare assistance (or they don't think you're in position you might need it), you should be fine.
