Hi, i am from Africa, and i am new here. I was planning to go to Switzerland but there are so many things i still need. First things first, i need a partner for Beach Volleyball. I take the sport pretty serious as i plan to travel to tournaments around Europe. I need a partner who can play the game well, i dont mind you not being a pro, but i am looking for some one who enjoys the sport as much as i do and who is willing to be amongst the best. I have had little exposure to tournaments as the game is not so popular here in Namibia and i will not be able to reach my full potential if i continue to stay here. I have played in the Youth world championships in Cyprus this year and have learned really a lot. If you are interested, then just send me an email or a message. I am looking for a job and a place to stay and i am willing to go to any town in Switzerland, preferably where beach volleyball is good. I am 18 years old and would like a partner with a similar age. I am not the best player but i am willing to learn and do what it takes to be a great player, even if it means getting my a$$ kicked in the first few tournaments
Its winter time and the beaches are a long way away. If you want a ski partner you will find plenty of them otherwise best to wait till next summer
I am sure there are indoor breach courts, and the earlier the i find a partner the better. I will probably go in January and i do not mind playing in the cold
You havent been here long obviously!! Most indoor facilities this time of year are dedicated to football (otherwise known to some as soccer), ice skating etc.
Beach Volleyball is a minor sport here and unlikely to find many faciliteis in the height of winter as it would take up otherwise valuable facilities for the sports that people are actually interested in.

Though Wallabies is right - wrong time of year, you may have some luck.
I can imagine that you will find a partner, or at least a training partner - to keep in shape for the coming season. My tip, check out any local sport clubs. They would be best qualified to find the right person for you... may even have the best training arrangement for you. Good luck!

hmmm, so you saying that switz is not a good place to go for BV, or is it just because during the Winter season ?
I have seen many beach volleyball courts (?) in Switzerland. There is a huge beach volleyball tournament that travels around Europe every Summer. Seen such events in several European cities... and a big event in the Zürich HB (main train station).
Look around... hope you will find something in your area.
