Bed frames without pointy corners

Hi Everyone!

I hope you can help me to find a double bed that doesnt have a frame with sharp pointy corners.

I bruise easily and after reqularly bumping my shins, I swore after the last bed that I would never buy a boxframe again! Box beds seem to all I can find in IKEA, Interio, Micasa, Conforma, Fly and other sites mentioned on this forum.

Can you buy divans or fabric covered bed bases here where the mattress sits on top and reaches over the corners?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Ikea.ch seem to sell legs, so their must be some way to attach a bed-base that is not a bare frame...

Hi Swisspea, this is what I was thinking of but will have to look into how to raise it up off the floor and if they have a double. Good place to start though! Thanks!

The Vanvik I can see getting dirty quickly but I am sure I can find a valance to place over it and protect it. This is definately an option. I had previously discounted it but am rethinking it. The Grimen has me a little concerned but deserves a look when I get to Ikea!

As for Uncle Bertrand's recommendation......mmmm.....definately no corner danger!
