Currently, I'm on RAV and I have a plan to start a non-profit association (Verein). Verein activities will be on the weekends and hence it will not interfere with my work search effort/ RAV recommended training course.
Was wondering if I'm allowed to start a Verein? Or do I need RAV approval for this?
It might be worth mentioning in passing, but so long as it non-profit and you specifically will not emoluments of any type, meaning you are just a volunteer then it should be no issue.
What about if I'm the co-founder of the he Verein? I'm planning to form a community cinema and use my own money for the hardware. The money will be put into the Verein's bank account as a loan from me. Would the Verein be able to repay the loan back to me as we generate some revenue? Of course it will take at least few months (if not years) before we start seeing loan money paid back to the cofounders. Would that be a problem?
