Benevita from SWICA - How does it work?

Hello y'all,

Looking at the info at the SWICA page, it says you fill a form to evaluate how much of a discount you get by participating in the Benevita program.

They're not very clear on what you are required to do on a day-to-day basis though.

I know similar programs at other insurance companies ask you to use a Fitbit or an App in your phone to track steps taken, etc..

Does anyone here participates in the Benevita program from SWICA?

What are you required to do to?

I've got it.. it's just an 'honesty' system.. you fill in an online questionnaire (available in English) saying you don't spend your entire life sitting down looking at a screen.

From memory it's 'only' a 5% discount compared to not doing it.

I’ve just joined it as the SWICA agent gave me a discount on my premium on the basis that I would sign up to Benevitia. You can link fitness device but it’s not mandatory .

The questionnaire online to gain discount just comes with a simple ‘I’ve told the truth in my answers ‘ tick box

I don't want to be a party pooper but this is a way to collect a hell of a lot of data about your they would not be legally able to otherwise.

Yes, but unlike Google/FB/Msft .. I receive a cash benefit. I'm 'selling' something that's mine and I'm not being coerced or misled

Does it apply to Zusatz/ supplemental insurance only? Could never figure that out.

Am I niaive by saying that the amount of information I gave to SWICA on my application form significantly outweighs the data I entered into my FITBIT account . Which literally just has my name , height and Weight in it.

The discount the SWICA agent gave me for joining BENEVITA was on both my basic insurance and the supplementary

We have the benevita too - once a year you Need to answer questions in regarding to your health / excercise. You get a discount in the top and hospital insurance up to 15% - not 5% as mentioned before. It depends on your answers what discount you get, although I get a discount with them already via my work, and there is a Limit my advisor told me I could get. I asked also the data question, and they don't have Access to my answers, Swica receives according to him only a point total. It's being run via a seperate website he said. In how far they get Details otherwise, I don't know
