I'm going to see a football match in Bern on Sunday - does anyone know if it is possible to park in the underground parking ? Is there any online booking available ?
I would take the train. There is a train station just next to the stadion. It will take you to Bern main station. From there you have many trains in all directions.
There is of course parking but I don't think you can prebook. So you would need to arrive very early in order to make sure that you can get a space. Easier with the train
There is also a big parking area outside by the BEA expo center. Do not know what that costs. But yes it is likely to be quite full and they are expecting a fan march to the stadium so traffic nearby is likely to be a mess.
Is it already time for the cup final? In that case it the stadium will most likely be filled to the brim. Your ticket acts as a train ticket valid from and back to any GA train station within Switzerland and also as bus/tram ticket in Bern.
While there are parking places, and some people definitely will get one, it is the question if you are one of the lucky ones. Parking Bern expo A - Waldau should be open. https://www.football.ch/sfv/schweize...inal-2022.aspx
Yes yes yes. In case local connections aren't great for you, I'd still recommend to find a train station with parking near to where you live (or even somewhere en route), ditch the car, and do the rest with public transit. The traffic around Wankdorf is often congested on a normal day, on a weekend match day finding parking (and more importantly, exiting the parking) is nigh impossible. There is no way I would ever try to travel by car to such a match.
This, if you can't use ÖV to get out of your area, you can park and ride in zollikofen or gümligen and take a direct train to Wankdorf. The parking costs like 4 or 6 chf for the whole day. And the train is included in the ticket according to the other user.
If no place there, you can go a village further out.
Just leave yourself enough time to take the train, if you're too early you can always go for a stroll.
