It's a bit late in the year to ask, but I'm curious if anyone knows of any good places to find fairies anywhere in eastern Switzerland or Zurich. I'd be particularly keen on catching a couple of boggarts or a bucca to add to my collection.
Also, if anyone knows of a discreet supplier of chloroform, I'd be more than grateful. Some people have quite strong opinions on pinning fairies, and I'd rather not attract too much attention to my crepuscular activities.
Not sure about the specific varieties involved, but you might like to try at any of your local churches. Or is it specifically ground-dwelling types you're looking for rather than the more commonly found sky fairies?
They're the gudgeons of the fairy world: easy to catch, common as muck. I used to love catching them when I was a kid, but they're no challenge any more - especially during their autumnal migration to the Pontus when they get a bit... er... sluggish (to be as euphemistic as possible).
I think there is quite a gathering of fairies, elves and goblins outside most of our windows around this time of year at dinner time. They are all taking note of my son's appalling table manners, over-use of his games console and the heinous crime that he won't put on his PJs when instructed with a view to reporting it all back to Santa.
If you are outside our place at around 6pm you might bag a few of them, DB.
According to my son, churches are full of zombies, especially cathedrals because of the dead people buried there. So this is definitely NOT the place for fairies.
You are more than welcome to come and look for them in my garden, see I have a big fig tree that seems to attract all kinds of heavenly creatures, we have fairies, elves but have yet to see an ogre, although I must admit that my neighbor does come out on occasion.
It is better to come and see them before the first snow or the first week of December, which is when my refill for Haldol is due to be picked up
