I am about to move to Switzerland to start a new job in Zurich. My situation is complicated by the fact that I have a metabolic condition called Homocystinuria which means I need to take protein supplements. The medicine is not on the special medicine list but is on the GGML (birth defect medicine list) This list is paid for by disability insurance instead of basic health insurance. From what I gather this is only for Swiss people who have had their medication paid for previously by an insurance company. Does anybody have any experience of this? It seems this could turn out to be my shortest job yet! Any information, good or bad would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Cathal
