Birthday gift ideas for 13 years old boy

I'm looking for ideas on what to give to a 13 year old for his birthday. He's into books and music. We have for example given him Beats headphone as Christmas gift last year and books for his previous birthdays. What is the current trend for boys at his age?

TIA.

Games consoles?

Wool by Hugh Howey. Guards guards by Terry Pratchett.

An Amazon gift card so he can choose his own.

First brothel trip.

They grow up so fast these days.

Where does he live? Does he have a skateboard? My son is turning 15 in May, his boards have filled a good spot recreationally and socially (a few accidents but nothing life threatening....yet)

I was going to suggest a subscription to Pornhub

Does he have a guitar? Maybe guitar lessons?

Porn only gets a guy part of the way. If he can play guitar too, the girls will swoon.

so interesting to see that female posters don't seem to have a clue what 13 years old boys want

Yes but we know what teenage girls find attractive in teenage boys.

then explain them. would be a good gift

What nonsense! 13 year old boys want money

I would get him a small gift and money/appropriate gift voucher for him to spend.

They don't need extra sources for porn - that device almost all seem to carry

Quadcopter.

Get him a job.

Another favourite with my son is tickets to a good football match (usually less costly than the football boots he has his eyes on)

We did.

Reading books (hell, carrying one around will do), playing the guitar and not going all grunty about COD and not going all obviously boz-eyed about potential breastesses.

You're welcome.

Ha! My OH and son returned home after a sports shopping trip a while ago and both stood inside the front door looking terribly guilty. My son needed new football boots and the price of the new boots made my eyes water.. I did the Mum thing and semi-screamed: What!? How much?!

They're as light as a feather - am sure they're made of fluorescent paper type card & styrofoam Every opportunity he gets my son tells me how great these boots are..

And don't mention some GK gloves with finger protection, I mean.. how expensive can you get?

Sorry, FR, for highjacking your thread and having a moan

An 'experience' always seems to go down well at that age.

Track day, go karting, climbing, whatever he's into.

Thank you, as usual EF is a source of good advices, as well as tongue-in-cheek responses

We'll consider the game console, voucher gifts, and maybe some books again. Ticket to football match is great idea too. We watched a football match with him and his family the last time we visited him. On that note, a ticket to his fav band concert maybe also a good idea?

I have to find out what kind "experience" gift that he'd enjoy (he's into sports, but not too sporty due to his health condition).

He's taking piano lessons, so I'm wondering whether he'll also be interested in taking guitar lessons hmmm...

He already has skateboard, so that's out of our list.

And well, I'm afraid I have to decline the ideas of giving him a first trip to brothel or subscriptions to Pornhub. The boy is raised as a Catholic

No worries, Swisstree. Moan away while you can
