Boston Baked Beans with a Scottish touch

I am beating November blues with a Boston Baked Beans recipe to which, as well as Rum, I have added a wee drop of Whisky. Smell of cloves, Rum, Whisky, slow stewing smoked bacon and pork belly going round the whole house, bloody gorgeous. My home made lemon cheese cake for afterwards is adding a nice sweet touch.

You sound like a catch!

Considering the EF-system says you wrote this at 14.04h and it's only 13.27h here, I might make it there in time

edit: Okay, the system mucked it up.... we both live in the future.

It's for tonight, 5 hours at least of cooking, to be enjoyed with "What we did on our holiday" DVD (with David Tennant and Billy Connolly), a nice Scottish road movie/comedy. Yes, you can make it in time...but my two divorcee + widowed neighbours are joining us!

What's the main course?

Tom

Make sure to open your windows tonight!

Haggis and fried black pudding.

One positive aspect of living on your own!

Just ate some Spanish "Morcilla de Burgos" with a glass of Rioja for lunch. Black pudding stuffed with rice, deliscious!

One up on croissant in a car i guess...

that sounds shit disgusting

Well it's alright, since you're not invited! Each their own shit, then!

this thread is useless without pics

This will be for the day when I have FINALLY worked out how to upload pictures on EF. I have followed every procedure, it never works.

Lol ok you're off the hook - will have to imagine it tastes good - btw I love baked beans - and also haggis - though never had them together

Thats because you are drunk most of the time on rum and whisky. Any child could upload pics

I don't want to think of the kind of crap meat that's gone into that tin!

My pork belly and the smoked bacon were all from the nice little piggies I saw getting big over the last few months, outdoor in a lovely field 3 miles outside the village. It makes the whole difference, taste wise...that's if you like something other than the taste of shite!

Thanks, will try it when I'm not pissed!

you ate babe

angry definition or definition?

UK English, i.e. pissed = drunk, which I never am, really, only tipsy if I mix my drinks.
