I need to take the TRAM to get to the HB
Does either ticket cover the tram ride also? OR do I need to buy a tram ticket to get me to the train station?

I just bought 2 train tickets (high speed) from Zurich to Paris.
Assuming you are travelling within the 110 zone of the city to get to the HB, unless the ticket makes mention of this, it's likely you will have to buy a tram ticket. Difficult to say without seeing the actual ticket. Did you buy it via the app?
I’m not certain about International tickets, but for domestic tickets you have to select the ‘city’ option (and pay more) to include local transport.
What does your ticket say? If it says Zürich HB that likely doesn’t include local transport.
You definitely should get a tram ticket - I've made this mistake with my mum when arriving from the main station.... we narrowly avoided a fine.... the inspector kicked us off the tram and stood over us as we purchased the most expensive local ticket....
Sounds like a point-to-point which doesn't include the local zone.
If it doesn't say 110 on it, you will probably need an additional tram ticket.
You should buy the ticket from your tram stop, not ZHB, then it will include the tram.

Buying international tickets is still impossible, with few exceptions, without going to the SBB.
Look at you Zurich - Basel ticket.
If it says Zurich HB - Basel SBB, then tram is not included.
If it lists your closest tram stop, instead Zurich HB, then the direct tram or bus connection to HB is included..
If it says Zurich HB - Basel SBB mit City Ticket ZVV Zone 110, then it is also. Even more you have get a one day pass for Zone 110. However, such a ticket will cost more than a single tram ride to HB plus the regular Zurich HB - Basel SBB ticket.
One example why using Fairtiq gives a cheaper ticket than easyride.
Aren't they the same in principle?
Easyride is using fairtiq’s software under license so it should be the same, but easyride will not combine two tickets when a through price is available.

The ticket is from HB to Paris... I do not see anything that mentions 110 or my stop or anything related to zurich (except the HB).
I purchased the ticket from the sbb website
I will make sure to buy a Tram ticket to get to the station.
For some reason I thought I got 1hr free tram ride when I purchased a train ticket somewhere. I don't know where I heard/read/assumed that.

If you get a daily ticket, for example from your commune, you get transport over (almost) the entire Swiss transport network. Including buses, trams, boats, trains, some mountain lifts, etc.
When purchasing through the SBB website or app, make you enter your local stop as the starting point (not the main station) and then you are covered, plus (generally) the price doesn't change.
