Bourne Identity -- 'Die Zwei Hunde' sign

I watched a rerun of The Bourne Identity (Matt Damon). In the scene

where he first arrives in Zurich, he passes a corner store with a sign

that says "Die Zwei Hunde".

I did some searching and there's a web site design company by that

name. But does that sign really exist in Zurich? A lot of movie was

shot on location I'm wondering if that one is real or staged.

Anybody know?

All of the "Zurich" scenes were filmed in the Czech Republic, so unlikely.

I watched that again recently too, followed by the two sequels during the next couple of days. Gotta hand it to Matt Damon, he's a brilliant actor.

I agree, his "Team America: World Police" role was his best so far.

Have never heard of that film and was intrigued to learn more and find out what part Damon played. On running a quick google search I see it came out in 2004 and, from a very brief click on one of the URLs that came up, presume it was a voice role? Will go back and check the film out in more detail soon.

I assume Dramaticpause is joking ishaka - the puppet used to portray Matt Damon in Team America only said two words whenever it spoke, being "Matt Damon" in a very "mentally retarded" voice. The writers/producers (one of whom did the voice of the Matt Damon puppet) were having a joke at Matt Damon's expense.

Haha! Thanks for that PerthPair. Have swiftly taken down my thanks for his / her post. Love that guy's acting too much not to even though they were taking the mickey - or not - as the case maybe and I can, thanks to your explanation, see the funny side. Cheers!

Yes, the Zurich scenes in that movie were shot in CZ, but there was a made-for-TV version in the '80s that was shot in Zurich. That one was awful, but if you know Zurich you can recognise most of the locations.
