We’ve run out of matches for lighting the BBQ and the fondue burner etc. So today I went to COOP and… they could offer me a small book of matches, but no boxes.
Did the law change? Why can’t I get matches?

btw, a few years ago I stumbled on an electric lighter, that charges via USB for candles, BBQ, etc. Its one of the best CHF 5 investments I’ve made. Galaxus → electric lighter. Thank me later.

How long is a few years in your world? Found only one and it’s Fr. 37.00.

We got ours from Landi, it was certainly less than 10chf.

In all my life I have never succeeded at refilling one of those refillable gas lighters. When I smoked, decades ago,I used a Zippo.

No the important thing is to know which one IS the right adapter.
Why they can’t sell the right sized adapter with the lighter I will never understand. Or for everyone to use the same adapter.

Tried Denner. Also no joy.
Apparently I’ve been using the wrong word - I need to use Zündholzschachtel, not Streichholzschachtel.
You will know quickly, because when you get the wrong one, you will get the gas everywhere!

I bought one of those Bic Mega-Lighters once.
I was pretty annoyed that it wasn’t refillable. I should have checked the packaging.
What a waste of materials.
I’ve got one of these in the camping box. Had it for years.
If refilling doesn’t work with any adapter (by someone reasonably capable) it’s probably not refillable.
