Breakdown cover from UK to Zurich

Hi

I'm driving out to Zurich in the next week. I've got insurance covered, and I plan to get swiss plates when out there and the relevant changes made to the car.

However for breakdown most policies seem to want the start and end to be in the UK - any advice/recommendations on where to get breakdown cover for the two days journey that doesn't require a start/end in the UK? I've read all the other posts on this but can't see anything mentioning this.

I hope you have done enough research, I thought you could only get Swiss plates if you actually live here, and the car has been imported.

For breakdown recovery, as per the AA in London, you can join the Swiss TCS without a specified car, and buy European breakdown cover,
