UK is considered as non-EU, thus the same rules apply as for Sri Lanka, Gabun, Chille, Vietnam, Australia, Canada, etc.
For importation of food, fish, meat, plants, and dairy products “EU” is considered as the 27 EU countries plus Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, and Switzerland. There are special provisions for the Faroe Islands and Greenland, as, while they are nations of the Kingdom of Denmark, they are not part of the EU.
I knew a guy that used to go back to the UK once a month for bread! I would bring back four sliced pans which would do him four weeks, when he head off again.... No big surprise he decided Switzerland was not for him.
