I am trying to find an authentic Italian-style shop, for example where the ravioli are made fresh every day and you have to get there early before they sell out. Perhaps I am dreaming!

Hello! Does anyone know of a store to buy fresh hand-made pasta, somewhere near Winterthur? Or am I too far north for this?
You can check out Markthalle Trivisano - Marktgasse 25 in Winterthur. Not sure if the pasta/ravioli are made daily, but they do have a large selection of fresh pastas, also Italian meats and cheeses and other stuff.
Otherwise the Market in the Oerlikon Marktplatz Wednesday and Saturday Mornings, as well as in Helvetia Platz in Zurich on Tuesday and Friday mornings might have fresh pastas. There’s also a pasta maker in the Viadukt Markthalle, at the very front to your right as you enter from the Limatstrasse.
Yes. I tried it, is bit expensive but good. If I remember correctly, there is even more than one stall where Italians sell fresh pasta.
As a compromise on price I can suggest to give it a try to the fresh pasta sold at Coop Eleven, 500m north of Banhof Oerlikon. It is sold in quite anonymous small white cardboard boxes, according to the label has no preservatives, expires in 2-3 days and comes in a variety of flavours. It is not a standard product and can't be found online... it's located between the vegetable section and the self-checkout, close to sushi, and should not be confused with BettiBossy or Rana "fresh" pasta.
I think it's a very good compromise between quality and price; my favourites are the Tortelli with Brasato and Barolo...
