Hi guys,
When I moved here (Zürich) from abroad a couple years ago, the apartment I moved in had a missing bedroom door, but the Hauswartung company said everything was ok (I didn't speak German at the time).
Now, I'm thinking about moving out and when I checked the paper I signed when the apartment was handed over to me, it says there was a door and it was ok.
It's my fault for not having a translator or didn't take the time to translate everything before I signed.
So does anyone know where I can buy a door like this one in the picture below?
Best regards,
Isn ́t it stored somewhere in the cellar?
Bauhaus, Hornbach, Obi. Should cost about CHF 200.-
They also may offer service to install it
My previous apartment had doors like these to the bathroom and bedroom. The building dated back to 1960 and was renovated in 2010 but they kept the original internal doors, so if it has to be this exact type maybe you will have to hunt for one.
My advice is when you move into a place photograph everything so you have evidence. We've been very lucky that all three property agents we've had spoke good English, but if we weren't sure about anything my husband's work colleagues were kind enough to translate for us.
yes Hornbach offer a service to install the door. they also have a huge range too
