Total came to 21 francs!
Included a 9 franc surcharge for orders under 50 francs.
I thought they were trying to encourage online transactions to avoid visits to the post office.
Tried to order 12 1 franc stamps online from Swiss Post.

Never used them myself but seems a good alternative.
Buy 50 next time.
Actually, if you are buying stamps the minimum purchase amount to avoid the minimum order surcharge is only CHF 15.-.
As is plainly spelled out when ordering "Surcharge: General small quantity surcharge up to CHF 50, for stamps, philately and prefranked produducts surcharge up to CHF 15".
If you had ordered an additional 3 stamps, you would have been fine.
I did that last time, worked fine!
