C Permit: offered job abroad

I have bern offered a job abroad (remote work). I have a C permit. I would like to stay in CH as my partner is living here. Will I lose my C permit becsuse my employer is not in CH?

Thx for any info.

You are allowed to freeze your C Permit for uptown 04 years if you need to move overseas for job reasons. However the decision is by the cantonal authorities. You may want to check with them. I know people who did this when they moved overseas with their existing companies. I don't know if the same would apply if you move overseas with a new employer. But worth checking out.

If you stay in Switzerland it would be no problem. The problem might be satisfying the Swiss in terms of tax and social security etc.

As.

Long as you remain a Swiss resident you keep your C. Your employer isn’t relevant.

Since you are not leaving the country no. You may need to consider the best way to establish the relationship:

- Employee of the remote company

- Through a payroll company

- Self employed

- etc

Important is where you reside, not were your work nor were your employer is located. Anyway, as you work remotely, you are working in Switzerland and thus are subject to the Swiss social security regulations.

If you are a direct employee you will have to sign up for ANOBAG, if it is through a Swiss payroll company, than all is taken care of, and finally you can also go independent or incorporated company, but that comes with its own pitfalls.

Fantastic help all, thank you
