I live in canton Zurich since 2018 and this year I am completing 5 years on B permit which I got on family reunification. My husband and child who was born here both got C permit three years ago and I am still on B permit. Since I am finishing 5 years soon, I would like to apply for C permit. Could anyone please guide me what are the requirements to meet to get it after 5 years of residency? Both my husband and I are from third world non EU countries. Thank you.

Language for a start - German since you’re in Zurich.
I believe your spouse needs to have had the C permit for 5 years for you to be able to get it earlier than the usual 10 years.
You might be able to get it after 5 years under the "fast-track" rules, where you must prove that you are exceptionally well integrated.

Your situation is close to my case.
My husband and kids got their C permits in 2021. I didn't apply at that moment due to absence of a language certificate. You need B1 oral, A1 written for a fast track.
After passing my exams I have applied a few months later and was rejected as having no gainful activity, despite proving sufficient salary of my husband. I re-applied a few months later, after becoming a university student, and finally got my C permit after 8 months.

As your partner has not have had permit C for more than 5 years, you might be eligible for early C based on good integration (sometime also called “fast-track”). There are more integration criteria, than just language. See chapter six 6 in the above linked brochure.
