Can anyone recommend good restaurants in Geneva?

We're travelling to Geneva for a house hunting trip in a few weeks and would like to try a few restaurants out - anyone got any good recommendations? Thanks

Behind the Geneva train station (Cornavin), 2 mins walk from platform 7/8 entrance. Open daily from 18:30 until 02:00 am, TUE-FRI also for lunch. Look for a fat chef giving the thumbs-up mannequin.

If you like shrimps, then this is the place not to avoid. Large gambas grilled in olive oil and garlic, and you eat as much as you can, for CHF 37 p.p.

Free-flow of bread and fries are included in the price.

But the final bill depends on how many bottles of Mateus - a refreshung Portuguese rose wine - you need to digest the food. Great Portuguese atmosphere, book your table in advance is highly recommended.

L'Auberge des Dix-Vins in Carouge is lovely. La Printaniere just off Plainpalais does excellent pizzas.

Excellent blog by the way, great recipes, witty blogger and not shy to look around (he gave two recipes for lamb cooked with mint which for a francophone is saying something...). His latest blog is about wine in a tin sold at Tesco incidentally
