Can I watch my Cablecom TV channels on IPad

HiI have recently moved from UK. Have set up Cablecom at the flat with 150 Internet connection with TV and phone. Very proud that I did not need the offered help from colleague's 8 year old to get it running!

I am just wondering if there is a way to view the TV channels on my IPad. Is there an Ap I can use?

Thanks so much

Hens

Zattoo is good for the main UK channels.

SwisscomTV app. has most of the beebs plus a couple of others.

Another one that isn't an obvious player is TV Guide (red heart on black background).

You can select the channels you want to display for TV listings, and many (certainly the main UK ones) have a little 'play' triangle on the station logo which gives you the option to play the channel live.

As far as I know there isn't a Cablecom app. to view channels, unless you have their Horizon sub.

Yes you can

Download and install Horizon TV for iPhone and iPad from the AppStore

I thought that you needed to have the Cc. Horizon subscription on you home TV, in order to effectively use the Horizon app.?

With normal Cablecom you don't have any log in details for Horizon (?)

I have non-Horizon Cablecom, and tried the Horizon app. but didn't have the log in details. I will re-download and look again.

Horizon is "normal cablecom" now

You must have "old cablecom"

You logo on with your MyUPC credentials

Didn't know that - my sub.'s years old.

I wouldn't know what my password is, anyway.

Just had another look at the Horizon app. and it doesn't seem to offer anything over and above what I already use (see above) - especially in the app. details it is written that recording isn't available for Switzerland, so I've sent it back up into the clouds.

As far as I can tell, the Horizon App only works on your home network.

I use it in the house so I can listen to breakfast telly as I'm getting ready, but if I try to connect elsewhere (or select the wifi connection on my iPad that soesn't use the default DNS (that I need for EF)) then it wount connect.

I assumed that it gets its stream from the Horizon box.

Except for those of us with televisions which the Horizon box can't communicate with. Piece of junk (the box that is...)
