Hi everyone, I've been in Switzerland for 4 years and still haven't met any other Canadians. I just started a facebook group call Canadians in Switzerland, I thought it might be a good way for Canadians to connect here. Once we get a few members maybe we can get together for a beer!

Ohhhhh, I see, there are REAL Canadians around During the reign of GWB lots of North Americans declared to be "Canadian" but since Barack Obama moved into the White House, most North Americans became Americans again
My boyfriend and I, who are both Canadian, will be there soon too!
I will be there on vacation in August, and hope to be able to move over permanently in November!

Hello! I am a Canadian! Nice to see others popping up here and there. QUestion- Do you think it is easier for us Canadians to assimilate than Americans here in Switzerland? I am not sure but have had so many American friends leave after less than a year stay.
A potential reason is that Americans in Switzerland are getting messed with in terms of banks and taxes. Now most (or all?) banks won't even open an account for an American because of IRS/State Dept. pressure.
