Cancellation of new insurance policy within 14 days

Hi a friend of mine got sold a 5 year “complémentaire” plan on top of her health insurance by a Mutual Group agent.

They made her sign a form saying that it is an order not a quote.

She has changed her mind and they told her she cannot cancel within 14 days.

Are these scumbags lying to her as they did to me?

If so what must she do do to cancel and by when?

Thanks for any input.

1. Why would one sign a quote, that serves no purpose at all so surely it be a contract.

2. Why would one sign papers which one has not read or does not understand.

3. There is no such thing as a 14 days cancellation period for supplemental health care insurances.

She can cancel in 5 years by using the methods as stated in the contract or the T&C, or earlier if she fits one of the conditions that allow for such and changing mind is not one of them.

Where did the discussion, preparation of contract and signature take place? There is a 14 day cancellation clause- depending on where and how the negotiations took place.

So can cancel if it was in the client's home or nearby, public transport, by roadside or during excursion linked to advertising campaign.

Can't cancel if at sales booth at a market or fair, or if the buyer bought at the sales' office or shop.

Why scumbag ?

Somebody hold a gun to her head to make her sign, she signed of her own free will from what you say
