Car dent and scratch repair

I actually think many people are dishonest, they try to hide it, but actually can't.

I had some very good advise, if you ever want to go into business with someone go on a 2 week holiday with them first, if they try to get out of paying their share in any way, you can be sure they can't be trusted & will try to rip you off.

Repair in Kosovo cost 250EURO but not 350EURO.

This is what I was ready to do, but he started to make stories about the car which is in Kosovo. He went on holidays driving a car but returned "on foot". Some unrealistic amounts and so on. I am pretty sure he already repaired the car using his insurance as he mentioned that his insurance covers parking cases. And now he is hiding the car from me making stories about repair cost.

The problem here is that in Kosovo they can write any amount on request. Which is probably good, as I am sure he would provide fraudulent an invoice for 1100Euro.

I prefer to speak the person the same language as he does to me, and the language is called " to be a little ecomomic with the truth " as language of "honesty" he does not seems to understand.

Please read my question in the first Post, I believe I was clear enough asking for garage. I did not ask how to "get out of paying up".

It's not your job to find a garage for the repairs, it's up to the owners and his insurers; assuming that the repairs are being done under his and/or your insurance. But he's then supposed to get two, possibly three estimates which are approved by the insurance companies before going ahead with the repairs.

If the thing is being sorted out amicably then you have more say in the matter.

All you can do now is ask for written evidence of the garage bill and contact your household insurers about the problem, assuming you're no longer willing to cover the damage caused by your child.

I can understand why you're not happy with the owners behaviour, which is clearly less than ideal (and I apologise for getting the €250 and €350 mentioned in two of your posts muddled up), but I honestly think that you should at least pay the lesser amount, after insisting on a 'fully paid' receipt.

if he's already being that dishonest (650€ is no joke), he will maybe even bribe the garage to get the invoice he wants. Pay the lowest quote. I don't know if you can get any proof of full payment that has any legal value. I guess he won't be suing if he's shooting bogus numbers though.
