Brought my 8 year old car from Spain and I'm in the process of registering it.
I'm looking at insurance through comparis and an agent.
I was wondering about road assistance. Do you have experience taking it apart with TCS or similar, and not the one included in your company (I'm thinking of getting Allianz24)?
In California I had my insurance that way, 3rd party damages with my insurer and then road assistance with AAA.
I have no idea which is best, and I can't imagine anybody here would have experience of both. But you could search the forum and read what other people say,
We get assistance from our car manufacturer, which is actually provided provided by the TCS Perhaps our insurance provides it as well, but we've never looked, and I assumed road assistance was organized separately.
I'm with Mobiliar. Never a problem with claims (park damage, rear ended 2x, Mader). May cost a little more but good service and road assistance is included. Also they give a rebate from time to time. As for emergencies carry jumper cables, extra oil and water, flashlight, safety vest (required) and a bag of sand in the winter.
