how did you set up your car seats in your car? If I have any specific questions about car seat installation, do they have the equivalent of a car seat technician here?
Another thing is that I am missing a locking clip which is a small piece that holds the seatbelt taut. Is there any where I can look to find this here? They are available on Amazon.com but I would rather not pay postage triple the value and wouldprefer a local location. I emailed the car seat dealer and he was not able to help me and I have yet to hear back from the manufacturer. If I would even know what this is called in German thwart, would already be a big help.
Any advice, leads, thoughts or experience helpful....

Not stand offish at all. That was just the advice I needed! We belong to the tcs already (I think) I hadn't thought of contacting them.
What sort of car seat is it? We recently had to fit a maxi cosi cabrio fix and the shop we bought it from gave us a long explanation about how to use the seat belt. Instead we bought a familyfix base which most baby car seats simply click into. Well worth the money.
