Does anyone know if there is a way to rent car seats? I have guests coming who will be driving around and they have two boys, age 8 and 5, and I think they need car seats.
They're here for 4 days, so I'm not sure buying makes a ton of sense if renting is cheaper (I have no idea how much car seats even cost).
Any ideas?
Probably easier to borrow some.

My google kung fu was failing (thats why I posted) but I finally found a good middle ground:

They have it at the airport! Not too shabby.
Probably both ok on booster seats tbh. CHF ~20 from bigger Migros. Prob just as expensive to rent. I think our son was even just in the normal seat with no booster at age 8.
Problem is that booster seats aren't legal in Italy (and perhaps in the EU in general), should the OP wish to go outside of CH.
Italy requires child seats until age 12, or a height of 1m50.

A booster seat is a type 3 car seat so perfectly fine according to that link. It must have the appropriate EU safety stickers on it though.
Switzerland has the same law regarding age and height as the rest of the EU (age 12 or 1m50 tall)
Ok, I checked, it depends on the weight of the child if allowed or not.
