I was cleaning my home office during forum shutwdown and found an old newspaper with some news about a Briton brewing carrot beer in Muhen (Aargau).

Is he actually brewing carrots? Or is it more a carrrot alambic, analogously to Belgian fruit beers?

I'm not sure that fermenting carrots is a good idea.

mmmm, all the article tells:

If I understand well that's adding carrots when you warm up the malt to ~80°C (boiling of the wort), and adding more carrots to the recipient where fermentation happens. Almost sure the carrot are just the flavor, no way to make a beer without grains.
