Hi! We just moved here from the US and brought with us our 2 carseats for our 2 kids. One is a Chicco Keyfit 30 (for our infant) and the other is a Britax Marathon (for our 2 year old). Does anyone know if I am able to use these in Switzerland? I am having a hard time finding out the standards for carseats in Switzerland. They are very highly recommended and very safe according to the US standards, but not sure if I am allowed/able to use them in Switzerland. Any feedback would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
Ann
Probably not.
You need to look at the standards that are marked on the car-seat.
It must say someplace on the seat ECE no. 44 - series 3 or 4 to be legal in CH.
Here is the PDF flyer from the TCS. Scroll down the page and click on the English version. You will see what the label should look like with the ECE 44 3 or 4. It also gives you all of the details on full seats and booster seats.

I haven't been able to find a European carseat that I liked as much as our Britax Marathon so we've been using it in Germany and Switzerland now for five years for three kids. I simply don't like how in order to fasten the seatbelts that I've tried here you need to slip two parts into each other before fastening them ath the crotch. Hope this makes sense.
Anyway, nobody has ever batted an eyelid, not even the police pfficers that inspected my car after I got rear-ended yesterday
ok, thanks for your help!
Ive been using my Britax Marathon Classic without anyone saying anything.
