Pete, I have just generated my IBKR document. However, I only became a client of IBKR in March 2025. When creating the XML file, the following message appears. What information do you need?
Tax report generation failed. Please check your XML file format.: CashTransaction type CashAction.WHTAX is not supported for WITHHOLDING @ 30% ON YIELD ENHANCEMENT INCOME FOR MAR-2025
Hi. Thanks for sending. This seems to be the withholding tax entries for IBKRs stock yield program.
I adjusted the logic to ignore these for now so the PDF generates, but I have to see how best to treat it on a more permanent basis. Iām not sure if the SYEP income is reported gross or net (I have to check my own reports). If net, then the WHTAX is just informational.
If you upload again, it should no longer error out due to this issue.
