Cat Shower/grooming

Greetings

I am writing this because my wife is tooooo lazy (Like all others out there ) to ask this from anyone and I too dont have a clue about it I dont really know if you can/allowed to take the cat out for a nice shower!

If anyone know a place near ZH please let me know .

If there are no such places, can I just wash him in the tub? Any advice will be greatly appriciated

sure you can wash the cat at home if necessary, some quite like it

most will look like this though

In my house the lazy one is my husband

Ok if you guys are planning to bathe the kitty, I recommend buying a self foaming shampoo that actually needs no water. You can get them at petstores and they are good for the kitties

GOod luck!

Of course you can, if that's your question. You can buy special shampoo at the vet. Kitties are not too happy, but it can be very necessary !

For God's sake don't wash the cat. It's not normally necessary unless it's got **** all over it. Why on earth do you want to wash the cat? Brush the cat, that's enough.

Actually vets recommend it!!! Its specially good for bad odour (not extremly common in cats) and helps AGAINST fleas

Actually it doesn't help fleas at all, it kills 'em ...

I have to admit that unless extreme prejudice has been involved, I never washed my cats -- they kept themselves fastidiously clean. Current cat does the same.

If you really, desperately want to wash Tiddles, do it in the bath, wear something waterproof that you don't mind being shredded and wear gardening gloves or have someone else there to scruff the cat.

And top up your health insurance.

Good luck.

well, my cat gets a bath every month or two it helps her a lot with the shedding.

Good tip, especially when you've got a white cat and dark suede furniture! Fortunately though, my cat has a handy undercoatless semi-longhaired coat. But if you've got a frequent shedder, a bath would be handy.

I'd hate to see the inside of the U-bend in your bath drain!

LOL my mom gives her a bath at home with a shampoo that needs no water...but lately we have been taking her to the vet who is a friend of ours. She does not talk to us after that and goes straight into her little house when we get home

Also recommend plenty of these. Cats don't much like being washed.
