Hello,
I need to translate a school certificate from Russian to either German or English for university application.
The university website says that it must be done by an "authorized professional translator" and "contain confirmation in English or German that this is a faithful translation, with the name and signature of the translator". It seems to be quite a broad definition, where exactly can I get such a translation? Should I go to the notary with it?
Do you know if there are better options than more business-oriented agencies which charge ~100CHF per page?
Thanks!
You need an authorised translator, so 100,- per page sounds about right.
It seems that just a declaration from a translation agency with notarial certification without an affidavit is enough. But you might contact the university if I am correct.
One of the companies who can do this for you is https://www.semiotictransfer.ch/engl...-translations/
I do not know the company and have no clue about their prices. But to me it is worth something extra to have everything arranged at one spot.
Check with Russian consulate in Bern if they can provide an official certification of the translation you do yourself. A personal visit to Bern may be needed though, I'm not sure if they accept the documents by post.
