Hi,
I am looking at options for good cheap surface transport moving companies. I am not in a big hurry so, if my stuff reach India after 2-3 months is also fine.
Please help.
I have explored some
swiss cargo for 100k.g. costs 680 CHF probably not a good idea

Hi
I am trying to move my stuff from India to Switzerland ( opposite to you).
Having used a company for India-UK, called Ram Shastry ( i can forward you details if you want) I asked for a quote and they came up with nearly CHF10,000 for Calcutta-Zurich.This is double what I paid just 9 months ago and find it difficult to believe the distance to Switzerland is that much different.
However, full marks on qulaity fo service, packing and unpacking - very professional and polite people.
Do let me know if you know any companies in Switzerland that can quote India-Switzerland??
Kind regards
Sid
Hello

Thanks!
Sid
p.s. Actually it is not as much as double - more like 25% higher but still a lot compared what I paid 9 months ago.
plesae send me details.
CH - crown and crown india.
also homegate.ch has some moving company details.
http://www.crownworldwide.com/web/cw...p.me.india.htm Crown Relocations are well known although i've never used them myself and they have offices in many major Indian cities.
How much "stuff" do you want to move ?
For anyone using the services of an international relocator, I strongly recommend getting a minimum of 3 quotes.
One will be outrageously expensive, one expensive and the other affordable.

I would probably try to obtain those 3 quotes from Indian companies too as the price of their service will be more competitive.
India is an excellent place in the world to purchase good, quality furniture and I hope to get some nice pieces shipped over shortly. Again the costs are cheaper in comparison to the price of furniture in Switzerland. That would be a good business for anyone so inclined, and Indian furniture is veyr much in fashion. I saw a good shop in Lausanne selling pieces, but the prices were a ripoff, although very attractive pieces.
