Neither of us has any idea how much of a hassle it may be, does anyone here? Obviously being in the same canton then things like the AHV office etc will stay the same, but there may be other nuances to consider. Anyone any thoughts?

This is for a friend who has a company in Canton Zug, and wants to change office from Gemeinde A to Gemeinde B, which would mean a domicile change.
You need to announce it to commercial registry and they will make change
....and invoice you accordingly

if you change town, even in same Canton, you need to change the Statutes, and you need a notarial deed for this. The simple notification to commercial register is only if you change address in the same town.
