Charging a Nissan leaf in Schaffhausen canton

Hello, I'd be really grateful if anyone has any tips on this.

About to buy the car and wondering whether installing a level 2 charger at home is really necessary?

Obviously it would be convenient, but would charging be cheaper enough to justify the outlay? (I have a Swisscharge outlet near me in Shleitheim)...

Any recommendations for charging wall units? It will be outside on a wall, no wifi.

And does Lidl in Schaffhausen let you charge for free? Any other places like that? The Leaf uses chadomo fast charging... Anyone know where I can find those?

Many thanks for any help!

Would have been better to sort out charging before buying!

You can simply plug in to a domestic socket. This should add about 11km per hour. So overnight 20.00 - 07.00 (assumed cheap rate) you can add about 120kms. I have no idea what the Leaf will charge at maximum. That will determine whether a dedicated supply is worthwhile.

You should ask whoever you are buying the car from about charging. chadomo is a dying system for DC charging. There are plenty of charging networks online...

That’s what we do, domestic socket from 23h to 06h00. Also we charge to just 80% which was recommended to me to prolong batteries life. Gives us a maxim range of about 250km. We drive a max of 50km a day, more usually 15-20.
