Cheap bars in Basel!

Hi all!

Where are the places in Basel to have no-frills, cheap drinks?

For a special night out I don't mind paying a bit more for a beer in a nice bar, but for those nights when you just want to put a few back and talk with a good friend, where are dive bars with cheap drinks?!

An unrelated question (although relevant after a night of drinking these cheap drinks ): what's the best Kebab shop in Basel? I like the one in Wettsteinplatz, but that's all I've tried so far..

Try the Johanniter Bar at the Johanniterbrücke, it is cheap(a lot of students are there in the evening, watching Footballgames or play billard) and there is a kebab store close by as well.
