Has anyone found Cheerios in Switzerland, or a good substitute? It was my favorite breakfast cereal as a kid. I'm pregnant now, and sometimes that is all I want--but I haven't had luck finding them anywhere.
Cheerios are available but not the plain ones (in Coop and the like)
The plain ones are what I'm after--the other ones I just don't like. Thank you for the reply, though.
thanks for making your question more specific. Now I can answer more specifically.
britshop.ch
Thank you! I see they have some sort of version by Nestle at: http://www.britshop.ch/__product/131...estle-Cheerios . I had no idea. Now to decide if they are worth the cost. I think if I find some other things to order, the answer would be yes. Thanks again!
those are indeed UK-sourced Cheerios without a yucky coating. You're not alone in not liking the coated ones.......
Those are the ones. Made in Bromborough, on the Wirral.
The American Market had them last I knew as well.
You can order online at these sites -- but expect to pay likely double, or more, what you are used to paying in the US. pay attention to the size when ordering, these vary quite significantly.
I order breakfast cereals for my son on a regular basis --
www.junkfood.ch (largest boxes for the money)
www.afoodave.com (items sometimes listed as 'available' when ordered end up out of stock and not shipped, but do get the credit)
On top of the extra cost per box, you also pay shipping. So factor in shipping costs when making the purchase-no purchase decision.
You can buy the multi-grain Cheerios online at Le Shop or in Jelmoli.
The plain Cheerios you can buy in Zurich at the Orelli Fusilli - english bookshop on Bahnofstrasse.
