Hello,

I need some Cheesecloth / Cotton Gauze Muslin.

I am making sticky rice (Thai food) and need it to hold the rice in the steamer.

Do you know where I can find this?

In German you're looking for "Passiertuch". Coop and Migros both have it but usually only with the home canning supplies in summer. Landi may stock it year-round (can't remember for sure) and the dairy "Grune Kuh" in Schwanden certainly does. The latter is a bit of a trek for you though from Wollerau... I suppose it depends how badly you need it! I'd say try your local dairy first.

Or you can try your luck with the "Gazetücher" sold in the baby section of a largeish Coop/Migros - they're finer gauze than cheesecloth but might still work for what you want.

I wanted the the same for the same purpose and found them in the Coop's children's section for cloth nappies. They come in different sizes.

I also have stain-resistant silicon steamer mats which are also good for steaming buns and vegetables. They come in different sizes. Never seen this sold in Switzerland.
