Civil engineers are in very high demand - really shouldn't be hard.
EDIT: Just saw your other post.I don't know how you think a duplicate will help you at all...
I think I don ́t need an permit as I ́m an European Citizen. I think I only need a work contract.
It was hard, but now I'm working in Switzerland...
Congratulations on finding a job!
My girlfriend is also a civil engineer looking to find a job in Switzerland. I am already here working in Bern as a Computer engineer. I understand that in my line of work it is quite easier, because companies are most of the times satisfied with just English.
So, do you have any tips to share on how a non german speaking civil engineer could get a job here?? Are there any websites targeted at civil engineers? At this point, as she doesn't have a lot of experience, also an internship is more than welcome. Anything from your experience would be a huge help. In terms of the permit, I guess there is no big problem as we are both Greeks and for me it was very easy.
Thanks a lot!
Many thanks
I am a portuguese Civil Engineer from FEUP. My wife is moving in Fev 2013 to basel to a chemichal company and I want to go with her. Is it possible to work there without speaking german? How does the process works? Do you know which companies are looking for civil engineers?

in Civil Engineering. She has work experience of more than 7 years mainly in Structural design (Civil). Her German language skills are at very basic level only however she will join some language class soon. Can you please recommend or suggest companies where she can think of applying? Direct or indirect pointers will be appreciable.
Cheers!!
