Climate Change

Apropos polar bears. In the 1960s we were apparently down to 10’000 polar bears. The most recent estimate from 2016 says we’re at 26’000 (with a confidence interval of 95%).

How about that?

No sleep tonight, those government idiots think they have to sound a dead-serious alarm every two hours tonight here at the Valencian coast. As there was no alarm a few years ago when hundreds died in Valencia. Now they sound that stupid alarm twice a week. Don’t know what is worse…

As usual I had no food at home and almost all streets were closed. Fortunately waze found me a small camino to the next village where supermarkets and even a very nice (and dirt cheap) restaurant were open.

On the way back I did use the same unpaved way but found out when crossing the real road was open again. Waze still did not know that, so I told 'em.

50-60 cm of rain last night was a lot, but I have seen it a few times around here. There is nowhere the water can go, so it is more swimming than driving with a car.
