I wonder if anyone is keen on climbing and/or bouldering and knows of places to go in and around zürich... I have been here a year and know of no one who is into climbing, so am keen to meet some enthusiasts...
im pretty much a beginner, and have done some climbing here and there and have the very basic stuff... shoes, harness...
I'm not a pro, but i am very keen to get back into it... i used to do some bouldering in scotland, if you also share my enthusiasm i would be very interested to meet up and have a go....
I try to climb at Milandia (Greifensee) once a week (evenings) at the moment but am struggling for a regular climbing partner. Always keen to meet new people to climb with here.
I haven't been in ages. But from past experiences, I know Milandia in Greifensee is good. There's another one in Schlieren: Gaswerk. I believe they are affiliated.
I personally loved Minimum in Wollishofen, it's only for bouldering, and smaller than the others. But it has a bit more of a personal touch. Probably easier to meet/get to talk to like-minded people there.
I'm been living in Zurich 3.5 years and am lucky to have found a pretty good climbing network after some time looking. I totally understand how frustrating it is to be an eager climber without someone to climb with.
Do any of you fancy climbing this weekend? The weather is tunning at the moment, I would like to do some climbing outdoors (all other group members are busy this weekend ) We could climb at a Kletter Garten or even a multi-pitch (depending on experience) hell, I'd even go to Milandia!
hey you guys! long time lurker, first time poster. i've been living in luzern for about 9 months now and with the weather turning nicer i'd definitely be willing to head out climbing! i've got lots of experience both in sport and long trad multipitch, and i'm a very safe and efficient partner.
I used to run this group but passed the command on to my climbing partner because I'm pregnant now so can't do much climbing. We focus mostly on outdoor climbing but sometimes some people in the group organize indoor/gym outings.
There's not much trad climbing in Switzerland, but a whole lot of alpine sport multipitch. Feel free to organize an outing yourself or drop by the discussion boards if you have any questions.
I might also put in a plug for Meetup groups... If you're not sure about climbing outdoors yet, or the weather isn't quite nice yet, I've been part of this new one (though I'm just a member, not an organizer or anything): http://www.meetup.com/Bouldering-and...around-Zurich/
There is regular bouldering so far on Wednesday evenings at Minimum gym in Zurich. There are beginners, and those of us who stopped for a while but are getting back into it, and probably some really good people too. It's also bouldering, so you don't have to have much gear already, or necessarily a promised belay partner.
I'd be really game for finding partners too outside of that, because I tend to be more confident when I am attached to a rope... That said, the prices of the gyms are too high for me to go multiple times a week every single week, but I'd love to get together from time to time with others! Went to Milandia last weekend and it is such a huge gym; would love to go again!
I'm looking for a partner with a Milandia/Gaswerk abo. I've been climbing about 2 years, going mainly indoors twice a week or so, am a safe and friendly belayer with my own rope, and am very keen to climb again - a month off is far too long! I'm climbing 6c/6c+ indoors, 6a+ outdoors (but with much more fear).
I'd also be up for outdoor climbing if anyone else is looking for someone to climb with. I don't have as much outdoor experience, but have 10 quickdraws, slings and bits, and can safely climb single-pitch.
As well as a partner, meet-ups would also be great.
I am looking for somebody to climb with during the week (Mo/We/Fr, from 18 o'clock on). I have the abo for Milandia/Gaswerk. I can do 5c with (usually) no problem. I am now trying 6a level.
Bouldering would be possible in the afternoons (Minimum is nice), but then I have my small daughter with me, so better would be also a mother with/without baby.
Also always up for climbing. I try and get to Lenzburg once a week and when it's sunny on the weekend am always up for going outside. Looking for someone to come on epic multipitches with me up in Grimsel, Furka and what not as the snow melts.
I have been living here about 7 years and have a group of friends also into climbing but they are a bit less experienced and not so keen on multi-pitch. My main climbing partner has headed back to New Zealand unfortunately. Level wise I onsight anything in the 6s and have red pointed 7a but grade's not too important, main thing that you know how to belay safely.
Also generally up for anything outdoorsy, mountain biking, Klettersteigs etc.
Have car, gear (too much) etc. so just pm me if you're interested. I'm planning on doing the Fürenwand Klettersteig this weekend incidentally in case that floats anyone's boat?
I've been climbing about a year (5a - 6b+ level now) and always looking for partners. Have joined both meetup groups suggested here but happy to get PMs too.
I have recently moved to Zurich and keen to get climbing outdoors again. I go bouldering at minimum (with meet up group) and ETH and climb at an intermediate level.
I have gear and lots of free time (weekdays or weekends) so if anyone wants to meet up or already has plans and doesn't mind me joining then please let me know.
Hello, I'm looking for a partner for outdoor climbing around Lausanne.
I'm an experienced climber with my own rope and quickdraws here but I've got no-one to climb with. Although done lots of sport climbing, I've never tried multi-pitch, but I'd really like to learn. I'm also interested in via ferrata.
I climb at around 7a, but I'm happy to climb with anyone regardless of grades.
I'm free during the week (Mon -Fri), and that is my preferred time to climb, so I can spend the weekends with my girlfriend. That said, I am sometimes available at the weekend also.
So far my preference goes to Griffig as it's about as far as the other ones from my apartment and it's much cheaper (27CHF regular price or 19CHF before 6PM)
I go regularly to Minimum twice a week on Monday and either thursday or friday with some friends so feel free to join us.
I'm also looking for a regular partner to go route climbing outdoor on the weekends (or indoor if the weather is not nice). I climb around 6a/6b+ indoor and about 6a outdoor but whatever grade is fine.
