I’m trying to catch up and get some hands-on experience on new tech like google could, IaC, kubernetes, etc. I’m aware of the options from microsoft (learn.microsoft.com).
I’d like to be able to set up environments and get some hands-on experience.
Soliciting suggestions/recommendations for Google cloud/AWS/Linux related technologies. Preferably free, if possible.

pretty much everything has a free tier. just check all the major ones and see which you like.
plus running something at home on an old machine works too.
regrettably, i dont have an ‘old’ machine at home … just my laptop with win 11. not really keen to set up a VM engine on it, etc …
if anyone has an (not so) ‘older’ but ‘upgradable’ (i can do that on my own) laying around gathering dust … 
… or some place that sells ‘recycled’ hardware …
‘old machine’ would be my ideal preference, of course …
I’d check facebook. There’s often stuff available free or cheap.
I was actually planning on wiping my desktop machine and re-installing it as a VM under a hypervisor…
