Coca tea in Switzerland.

Is it legal to import it? Can I buy some in Switzerland?

Are you talking about the leaves they produce in Peru and Bolivia or the mate tea from Argentina? I believe neither would be identified by Swiss customs, I can't see a reason why they shoulnd't be legal here. If someone knows better, please let us know.

Not completely sure if this is what you mean, but

http://www.americanmarket.ch/

sells Delisse Coca Tea

I guess legal then. Thanks.

I'd be very careful about that; I was tempted to bring it back from Ecuador, but decided against it. The main use is for altitude sickness, and base elevations in Switzerland are not as high as in the Andes. Therefore, it would not really be as useful in Switzerland unless you are mountaineering.

I'm sure CD has ordered this for when he is coming down from on high.

Hello,

I am from peru and have coca tea at home. Their use is not only for high altitude sickness but also to help digestion. And really, the taste is really nice.

To whoever posted the link for american food GOD BLESS YOU!

Thanks

Angela

It's only legal if the alkaloids (cocaine etc.) have been removed. Some German states have temporarily removed Red Bull Cola from the shelves after having discovered a tiny amount of cocaine, and a beverage in Ticino (forgot the name) has been confiscated for the same reason.

There are no alkaloids in coca leaves tea

Some years I put the coca tea bags with some sother stuff in a parcel and sent it from Bolivia to Switzerland. Everything got safely here and the teabags are still in my cupboard.

Ok, so the tea I got is legal. It's the Amazon stuff.
