I got my iMac from comac when I was still living in NE. They did a perfect job of restoring my data from a dead machine onto a new one when I needed a replacement... a bit dearer than Interdiscount but worth the difference. But I was living in rue des Parcs and could carry the computer home from the shop in five minutes... I would probably have bought online if I had been living way up there off the edge of the map .
Oh, Odile, I'm sorry you ruined your Mac! I bought myseld an iPad mini recently and have used my regular Mac much less since then. If you use yours mostly to surf the internet and write email then that might be an option. You could get a keyboard to go with it for easier typing.
I looked up my insurance and it says damage by my child wouldn't be covered. This with the optima axa winterthur policy
Moral of this thread? Dogs are evil.
And cats are the spawn of the Devil.
But that also means if you damaged your own camera, for example by dropping it, it wouldn't be covered either.
But if you win the lottery you're unlikely to care about the student discount anymore.
You remember I'm from Scotland right?
If it was the MacBook plastic, they had good isolation for spillage, if you had good quick reaction to turn it over etc: - would suggest you leave it turned over for another day or so before trying again, as could possible work
If it was the MacBook, Aluminum (Pro), that did not have such good isolation for spillage, but anyway wait another day before trying.
send you a pm on different matter
Mac Book white plastic - so still hoping - it's been upside down since it happened and battery taken out. Thanks - pm not received btw.
Sorry to hear that :-( Standard configurations are often on sale at Mediamarkt, Interdiscount etc.
I normally purchase directly from Apple because there you get a 14-day return window, should anything be the matter.
