Treat it with caution if it your first time using it.
It is much hotter than most other mustards, but far better in my opinion.
One of my favourite uses is to add it to cheese sauce, particularly for cauliflower cheese.
It is a product that has made its money from being thrown away. I read somewhere once that around 50% of it is discarded; left on the side of the plate after dinner.
I love it. What a great product. Definitely very pungent and must be treated with caution. My father's favorite. It's almost got that Wasabi effect of pungency.
I add a pinch of it to almost all dishes that contain a creamy sauce.
I also make a little paste with water and brush it on any pork filled pastries such as sausage rolls, pork pies, etc...
As already stated, great with all cheese sauces and mashed potato. If you can get a pork roasting joint rub it onto the skin for some extra flavoured crackling!
I stockpiled some because I have heard that they are discontinuing the powder. I love it aqnd its so much easier to keep in the cupboard and not in the fridge.
But how very vexing, I looked again and suspect you are right, there is a notice on the Moneyhouse site, that would indicate they have gone into liquidation.
You would think they might take the site off the web after all though.
How very frustrating for you morrigana, at least you won't have travelled too far out of your way to find the place under a new name or something.
